Camp Thorpe is dedicated to providing a fun and safe camping experience to children and adults with special needs. We serve 250 campers with a wide range of special needs. Camp Thorpe is multigenerational with ages ranging from 12-89. Some of our campers have come for over 40 years to our welcoming clapboard and stone campus with plenty of outdoor green space nestled in the Green Mountains. We meet campers where they are with adaptive, multi-tiered programming that allows all participants to have a successful camping experience. Our programming is divided into fout units to provide a well-rounded and accessible curriculum for our campers to enjoy. Our Music, Movement, Arts, and Nature activity areas all work to meet campers at their level. A large portion of our campers is at or below the poverty line and rely on scholarships to attend a session at Camp. Camp Thorpe is a bastion of hope and joy and serves individuals who would not otherwise have access to swimming, the arts, adaptive games, and creative programming.
